Quench is the love child (or "a lucid dream" as she is wont to say) of Puja Singh Nadhani, conceptualised while still a student.
Puja learned her cuts, and honed her sense of design and love of materials while working with Sabyasachi Mukherji. Her stint with the celebrated designer taught her to 'live the fun' in fashion, a lesson which she cherishes, and fearlessly explores in her own designs to this day. Her experience in the industry took her on an eclectic journey through projects that spanned high profile fashion shows and shoots, to crafting costumes for acclaimed Bollywood movies such as Raavan, Paa, Guzaarish and No One Killed Jessica.
Puja soaked up the experiences and enjoyed her time in the fashion industry until she decided to take a sabbatical and explore herself to find her true calling. Her frustration with the dearth of sexy minimalistic clothing labels in India egged her on to bring the dream of Quench to reality.
Says Puja, “There is little in India that appeals to the sensibilities of the thinking Indian woman. Quench was born from my own need to satisfy the thirst to find sexy minimalist clothes in India. I love the idea of clothing the sapio-sexual woman and that is what I wish to achieve with Quench."
A confident, independent, and sensitive personality, Puja is a Post Graduate in Fashion Design & Technology. She believes that life is an opportunity that comes by but once, and to live it without fear is the only way to make the most of it.
